Softball Recap: Brookfield Academy Blue Knights vs. St. Francis Mariners
Brookfield Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the St. Francis Mariners 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Knights in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now won five in a row.
Makenna Best made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Best was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
