Football Recap: Westfield Shamrocks vs. Avon Orioles
There's no place like home for Westfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 45-13 victory over the Avon Orioles at home. The Shamrocks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Deacon King was a one-man wrecking crew for Westfield as he rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns. Broc Parker was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Westfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Westfield will venture away from home to take on Fishers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27 points per game this season. As for Avon, they will host Zionsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
