Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Memorial's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

While Memorial put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Jersey Village. The Mustangs blew past the Falcons 11-0. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Isabella Borrego was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Vlasak, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jersey Village only posted an OBP of .176.

Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Jersey Village, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-19.

Coming up, Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Stratford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jersey Village, they will square off against Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
