Basketball Recap: North Decatur Skates Past Edinburgh with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Decatur walked away with it. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 49-21 victory over the Edinburgh Lancers. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Madi Allen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Carmen Thackery was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

North Decatur smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

North Decatur is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points over those games. As for Edinburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

North Decatur has already played their next game, a 63-60 win against Morristown on the 7th. Edinburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
