Harper is 8-2 against Center Point since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Harper Longhorns will venture away from home to challenge the Center Point Pirates at 5:00 p.m.

Harper will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Center Point on Tuesday. Harper was the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Center Point. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Longhorns this season.

Kinsey Key made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Lizzie Canning was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taelynn Tatsch, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Harper was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Center Point only posted a batting average of .125.

With the defeat, Center Point broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Harper, their record is now 3-6-1.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harper hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Center Point struggles in that department as they've averaged .513. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
