Baseball Recap: Paintsville Takes a Loss

Paintsville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Johnson Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 7-6. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Paintsville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anderson Lauffer, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another was Luke Stratton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Paintsville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-8. As for Johnson Central, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-7.

As of now, neither Paintsville nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
