Basketball Recap: St. John Takes a Loss

St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Grand Valley Mustangs, falling 56-21. The Fighting Herald lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-39 score last time.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Grand Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

St. John won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. John is facing Harding at the right time seeing as Harding is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Grand Valley, they will take on Maplewood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
