Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Takes a Loss

Guadalupe Centers lost against Midland Adventist Academy back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs had to suffer through a 55-10 loss at the hands of the Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Aztecs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 549th in Missouri, while the Mustangs are ranked 145th in Kansas).

Midland Adventist Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Owolabi, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Blake Renfro, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points along with five boards and four steals.

Guadalupe Centers' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Guadalupe Centers has already played their next game (against Kansas School for the Deaf), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Midland Adventist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-22 win against Ozanam on the 28th.
