After flying high against River Valley last Tuesday, Nevada Union came back down to earth. The Nevada Union Miners fell just short of the Del Campo Cougars by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Miners' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Isaac Arnerich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Logan Eandi was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Arnerich wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Nevada Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.

Nevada Union's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Del Campo, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6-1.

While Nevada Union had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
