Soccer Game Preview: Everman vs. Cleburne

Everman is 0-8 against Cleburne since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Everman Bulldogs will head out to take on the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Everman has given up an average of 5.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Everman's offense. They came up short against Centennial on Tuesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Spartans are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Cleburne was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mansfield Timberview by a score of 1-0.

Cleburne has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Everman and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Everman might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Cleburne in their previous matchup back in February. Can Everman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
