Winside has no trouble against Niobrara/Verdigre

The Winside Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They wrapped up 2023 with a 62-44 win over Niobrara/Verdigre. That looming 62-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Winside yet this season.
Winside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin Nelson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Caleb Offner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Winside's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Winside and Madison will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they will face off against Osmond/Randolph at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Osmond/Randolph is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
