Branford had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Countryside Christian Minutemen to the tune of 61-17. With the Buccaneers ahead 42-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Branford found their leader in sophomore Amyah James, who made all 10 shots she took to post 22 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Myranda Watson, who shot 88% from the field to rack up 14 points.
