Preview: Stonewall Longhorns vs. Mill Creek Bullfrogs
Stonewall has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Mill Creek Bullfrogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stonewall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Mill Creek likes a good challenge.
Stonewall has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over Allen.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Mill Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-39 to Clayton.
Stonewall pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Mill Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Everything came up roses for Stonewall against Mill Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 as the team secured a 63-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stonewall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
