Basketball Recap: Southside Christian Takes a Loss

Southside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 53-12 loss at the hands of the Wilson Christian Academy Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while the Chargers are ranked 127th).

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Wilson Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Southside Christian will host Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Greenville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilson Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Greenville Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
