Football Game Preview: Nimitz Vikings vs. Berkner Rams

The Nimitz Vikings will take on the Berkner Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nimitz is looking for their season's first victory.

Nimitz is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against MacArthur on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Vikings were beaten by the Cardinals 58-13. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-6.

Nimitz might have lost, but man, Jevon Woolfolk was a machine: he rushed for 135 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Woolfolk is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 102 every time he's taken the field this season. Jaylin Harris helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.

Meanwhile, Berkner won against Little Elm on September 12th with 17 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against Richardson, sneaking past 17-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since September 6, 2024.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Berkner, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Nimitz took a serious blow against Berkner when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 34-7. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 21-0.
