Softball Recap: Gallatin Wins Going Away Against Skyview

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gallatin had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Skyview Falcons with a sharp 14-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Raptors in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Addison Bleile made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI.

In other batting news, Gallatin got a massive performance out of Zoe Bassham, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Bassham has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Parker Stevens, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Gallatin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .414 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Gallatin's record now sits at 13-5. As for Skyview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Gallatin nor Skyview have any future games scheduled.
