Hardy Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jake Slaten was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kolt Larsen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Centerville pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Kennard, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
