Softball Game Preview: Borger Bulldogs vs. Canyon Eagles

Borger is 0-7 against Canyon since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Borger is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Hereford. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since February 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Canyon came up short against Dumas on Friday and fell 8-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost four in a row.

Borger's loss dropped their record down to 6-26. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11-2.

Borger couldn't quite get it done against Canyon in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 8-4. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
