Football Preview: Georgetown Eagles vs. Rouse Raiders        
        
		
             The Georgetown Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Rouse Raiders  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Georgetown knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Rouse likes a good challenge.
 Georgetown took a loss when they played away from home  last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They took their  contest at home  with ease, bagging  a  65-7 win over Chaparral. With the Eagles ahead  37-7 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 Georgetown's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Jett Walker, who gained 253 total yards, and   Kaleb Mcdougle, who threw for 134 yards and four touchdowns. Walker's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108  rushing yards.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Georgetown was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 280  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Rouse came up short against Cedar Park on Friday and fell  35-25. Despite 89 more yards than the Timberwolves, the Raiders couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
 Rouse might have lost, but man,  London Morgan was a machine:  he threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was  Leland Smit, who picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Georgetown's victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Rouse, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Everything came up roses for Georgetown against Rouse in their previous matchup  back in October of 2019, as the  squad secured  a  44-13 win. Will Georgetown repeat their success,  or does  Rouse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
