Volleyball Recap: North Oldham Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chloe Clark and Ashlyn Thompson

North Oldham lost against St. Henry back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Oldham couldn't get the win, but they sure gave St. Henry a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 35-10, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11.

North Oldham's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ashlyn Thompson, who had 17 digs and one assist, and Chloe Clark, who had 15 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Clark is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Mally Whittemore also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Caroline Tabeling was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

North Oldham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

North Oldham has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Mercy on the 1st. As for St. Henry, they will face off against Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
