Baseball Recap: Archbishop Shaw Find Success

Archbishop Shaw hadn't done well against St. Charles Catholic recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 8th.

Dalton Davidson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Archbishop Shaw is 4-1 when Davidson posts two or more runs, but 10-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Hayden Percle, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Archbishop Shaw's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-16. As for St. Charles Catholic, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-10.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Shaw will venture away from home to face off against Chalmette at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Charles Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles faces off against the Owls, they'll take on St. Charles Catholic again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
