Pennsauken Tech comes up short despite Omari Spencer's dominant performance

Pennsauken Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-51 to Clayton. If Pennsauken Tech hoped to take revenge for the 96-76 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Despite the loss, Pennsauken Tech still got an impressive performance from Omari Spencer, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 52.9% of Pennsauken Tech's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alex Melendez was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven steals.

Pennsauken Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Clayton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-8.

Pennsauken Tech will head out on the road to take on Gateway Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway Regional is on a four-game streak of home losses, Pennsauken Tech a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Clayton will take on Maple Shade at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Maple Shade is ranked 401st, while Clayton is ranked 378th).
