Basketball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Comes Up Short

Fayetteville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots, falling 65-20. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Star Coleman was Fayetteville Christian's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Freedom Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Allison Lett, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lett has scored at least a third of Freedom Christian Academy's points. Trinity Patterson was another key player, putting up 11 points and six steals.

Fayetteville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
