Basketball Game Preview: California Condors vs. Fairfax Lions

The California Condors are taking a road trip to challenge the Fairfax Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (California has five straight wins, Fairfax has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

California is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They strolled past Citrus Hill with points to spare, taking the game 63-47.

California's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aham Nwosu, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 17 points and six boards. Nwosu's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Kenny Renfrow was another key player, shooting 43% from the field to rack up 15 points.

California was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citrus Hill only eight assists.

Meanwhile, Fairfax came up short against Chatsworth two weeks ago and fell 62-51. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Chancellors are ranked 71st).

California's win bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Fairfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
