Southwest Virginia Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Auburn Baptist Christian Academy Knights with a sharp 3-0 win.

Southwest Virginia Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Auburn Baptist Christian Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-6.

Southwest Virginia Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Dayspring Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Auburn Baptist Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
