Softball Recap: Chazy Comes Up Short

Chazy blew Lake Placid out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Lake Placid got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 5-3. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bombers earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Pender Bechard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Chazy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Lake Placid, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chazy will host Indian Lake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Placid, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ticonderoga at 4:30 p.m.
