Soccer Recap: St. James Academy Takes a Loss

St. James Academy lost against Blue Valley Southwest back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunder fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, St. James Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Blue Valley Southwest are ranked seventh).

St. James Academy's goal came courtesy of Vincent Madeo, who's now up to two this season.

St. James Academy dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. James Academy will challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they will head out to square off against Park Hill South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
