Softball Game Preview: Parchment Panthers vs. Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants

Parchment hasn't had much luck against Kalamazoo Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maroon Giants at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Parchment beat Martin 14-10.

Meanwhile, Kalamazoo Central entered their tilt with Lakeview on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Maroon Giants, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Parchment has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Kalamazoo Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
