Preview: Floresville Tigers vs. Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls)

Floresville is 9-0 against Uvalde since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Floresville Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Floresville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.

Last Friday, Floresville earned a 44-32 win over Pearsall. The win was just what Floresville needed coming off of a 60-35 loss in their prior matchup.

Floresville can attribute much of their success to Ryland Parker, who scored 16 points, and Samuel Rodriguez, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Connor Parkinson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Uvalde's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 69-52 bruising from Pearsall.

Floresville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Uvalde, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Everything came up roses for Floresville against Uvalde in their previous meeting on January 2nd as the squad secured a 63-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Floresville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
