Basketball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Mary Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Galion Tigers at home by a 46-31 margin. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 43-34 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Mary Central Catholic's record is now 0-8. As for Galion, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary Central Catholic will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gibsonburg at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Galion and River Valley will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
