Basketball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faith Christian, Coram Deo Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past Varsity Opponent 64-37. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Coram Deo Academy was led to victory by Cooper Burgmeier and Jonas Clayton. Burgmeier almost dropped a triple-double with 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, while Clayton went 7-for-12 en route to 16 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. Burgmeier is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Kasen Echols was another key player, shooting 75% from the field on his way to 12 points.

Coram Deo Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Coram Deo Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Quad Cities Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next contest (against Wasatch Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
