Recap: North Buncombe Black Hawks vs. Erwin Warriors

The North Buncombe Black Hawks came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 76-65 win over Erwin on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

North Buncombe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trent Clark out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Clark is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cole Edmonds was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Erwin saw an underclassman step up: Jackson Davis scored 17 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Cromer, who scored 11 points.

North Buncombe now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Erwin, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

North Buncombe will take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Asheville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday. As for Erwin, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. T.C. Roberson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
