The Hot Springs Trojans will square off against the Beebe Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hot Springs is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Hot Springs proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-21 victory over Lakeside.

Sedrick Allen had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 23 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 273 yards on 20 of 30 attempts. A healthy portion of Allen's aerial production (144 yards to be exact) went to Ja'Marcis Morning.
Hot Springs didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lakeside to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Trojans weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.
Hot Springs' defense didn't let Wally Wolcott, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Khalawry McClinton refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Lakeside's side was Colby Holder, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.
Meanwhile, Beebe played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 49-27 to Searcy. The Badgers were down 35-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Hot Springs will have to contain Curtis Goodrich as he made an impact in Beebe's last game. He rushed for 177 yards and one touchdown. Goodrich's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards.
Beebe's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hot Springs, their record is now 9-1.
The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Hot Springs has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 297.1 passing yards per game. Beebe, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 216.5 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
