Cheatham County Central is 9-1 against Harpeth since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cubs will square off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Cheatham County Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, it was close, but Cheatham County Central sidestepped Franklin County for an 8-7 victory.

Haylee Dowlen looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Kayleah Shadowens was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Titus, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Cheatham County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Harpeth and Franklin finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.

Harpeth's tie gives them a new season record of 2-4-1. As for Cheatham County Central, their record is now 4-1.

Everything went Cheatham County Central's way against Harpeth when the teams last played back in March, as Cheatham County Central made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
