Softball Game Preview: Downers Grove South Mustangs vs. York Dukes

The Downers Grove South Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the York Dukes at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Downers Grove South is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Downers Grove North, falling 13-3.

Jacklyn Meyers and Victoria Colorato stepped up to the plate in a big way. Meyers went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Colorato went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, York's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 14-4 to Hinsdale Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dukes have suffered since May 3rd.

Emily McNichols made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Downers Grove South's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.
