Softball Recap: Wimberley Comes Up Short

Wimberley managed to slip by Fredericksburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Texans lost 13-3 to the Billies on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Texans have suffered since February 25th.

Wimberley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella P, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Wimberley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-15. As for Fredericksburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wimberley will challenge rival Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fredericksburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
