Football Recap: Bertie Comes Up Short

Bertie played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 34-12 to the Hertford County Bears. The contest was a 12-12 toss-up at halftime, but the Falcons couldn't quite close it out.

Among those leading the charge was Ayden Everette, who rushed for 131 yards.

Bertie is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Hertford County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bertie will take on Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hertford County, they will square off against Armstrong (Kennedy) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
