Basketball Recap: Rowe Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Rowe won the last time they faced Sharyland and things went their way on Friday too. The Rowe Warriors came out on top against the Sharyland Rattlers by a score of 58-48. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Rattlers are ranked 1060th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rowe is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Sharyland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Rowe is taking a road trip to challenge Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Sharyland has already played their next contest (against McAllen Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
