Softball Recap: Cresskill Comes Up Short

Cresskill couldn't beat Midland Park on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Cougars lost 16-5 to the Panthers. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Isabella Bross and Angelina Cecere stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bross went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Cecere went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aya Catran, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cresskill now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Midland Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cresskill will host Park Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Midland Park, they will welcome Lakeland Regional at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
