Football Game Preview: Hillsborough Raiders vs. Piscataway Chiefs + How To Watch

Hillsborough is a perfect 3-0 against Piscataway since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Hillsborough and Bridgewater-Raritan have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Raiders came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 30-18. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Andrew Schwarz was his usual excellent self, rushing for 158 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 104.4 rushing yards per game.

Hillsborough's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Anthony Guerrero with two sacks. He also made six total tackles, which is notable because Hillsborough is 3-1 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 0-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piscataway). They blew past East Brunswick, posting a 35-0 victory. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Bears are ranked 266th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piscataway's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hillsborough, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Hillsborough beat Piscataway 27-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
