Football Recap: Seneca's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Seneca easily dispatched Pleasantville last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Haddonfield Bulldawgs by a score of 14-11 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Golden Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Haddonfield can attribute much of their success to Van Lefakis, who threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. What's more, Lefakis posted -2 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Leonard, who gained 139 total yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Seneca fell to 3-1. As for Haddonfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca will take on Gloucester City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Haddonfield, they will host Pleasantville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Bulldawgs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
