Foothill lost to Granada back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Foothill Falcons had just enough and edged out the Granada Matadors 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Matadors since May 11, 2021.

Addison Chandler was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Burdick, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Chandler wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Foothill will square off against Livermore at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granada, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against San Ramon Valley at 4:00 p.m.
