Volleyball Recap: Slidell Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Slidell entered their tilt with Denham Springs on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Slidell easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Ava Barduca paced Slidell's offense, picking up 12 kills. Barduca got some help from Ava Labat and her 27 assists. Finally, Addyson Dowell kept Slidell's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Slidell's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Denham Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Slidell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Episcopal on the 27th. As for Denham Springs, they will square off against Dutchtown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Yellowjackets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
