Basketball Game Preview: Lugoff-Elgin Demons vs. Camden Bulldogs

The Lugoff-Elgin Demons will face off against the Camden Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lugoff-Elgin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Lugoff-Elgin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to North Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-22 victory. The Demons pushed the score to 53-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had no chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Braylen Mumford, who posted 12 points and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. Jernigan Williams was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Camden unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity Collegiate.

Lugoff-Elgin's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Camden, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Lugoff-Elgin skirted past Camden 86-84 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Lugoff-Elgin repeat their success, or does Camden have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
