Softball Recap: Boaz's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Boaz dropped their record down to 30-8-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Arab Knights by a score of 10-8. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pirates, who until this match were averaging 3.64 runs allowed.

Bailey Lusk was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ava Rhoden was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

As for Arab, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-21-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Boaz since April 3, 2018.

On Arab's side, Lola Davis was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Davis has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Mattie Couch, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Boaz nor Arab have any future games scheduled.
