Softball Recap: Rancho Cucamonga Comes Up Short

Rancho Cucamonga came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Etiwanda Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Rancho Cucamonga saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordin Washington, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Rancho Cucamonga's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Etiwanda, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho Cucamonga is set to challenge their familiar foe Chino Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Etiwanda will square off against rival Upland at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
