Preview: Meyersdale Red Raiders vs. Windber Ramblers
Meyersdale is 0-10 against Windber since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Meyersdale Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Windber Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. Meyersdale is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Meyersdale suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by North Star 87-47. Meyersdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-33.
Despite the loss, Meyersdale had strong showings from Ryan Sechler, who scored 14 points, and Matthew Hainsworth, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sechler has scored all season. Carter Vogt was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Windber didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bedford on Friday, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win.
Meyersdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Windber, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Meyersdale was dealt a bruising 62-31 defeat at the hands of Windber in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Meyersdale was down 48-17.
