Central Lafourche and Bourgeois are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Central Lafourche Trojans will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bourgeois Braves at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Central Lafourche lost to Destrehan on the road by a 63-45 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Bourgeois entered their tilt with Terrebonne on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Tigers.

Bourgeois' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-18. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points over those games. As for Central Lafourche, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-31 record this season.

Central Lafourche took a serious blow against Bourgeois in their previous matchup back in January, falling 62-21. Can Central Lafourche avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
