Baseball Recap: Dakota Ridge Takes a Loss

Dakota Ridge came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Roosevelt Roughriders by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dakota Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Larmore, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Larmore has posted since back in March of 2024. Sam Wieber was another, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Dakota Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Roosevelt, their record is now 2-0.

Dakota Ridge will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Higley at 6:30 p.m. on March 20th. As for Roosevelt, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Windsor at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
