Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost against Pensacola Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central lost 7-1 to Pensacola Catholic. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Land, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Pensacola Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pensacola Catholic, they will challenge Hillsboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pensacola Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hillsboro has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
